Kelley and Kelton Foxhall Resort Wedding
Working with Kelley and Kelton was such a unique experience for me. Not only did I get to capture their beautiful wedding day at Foxhall Resort just outside of Atlanta, but I also was able to capture the moment when Kelton proposed to Kelley. To be there from the very beginning of the process, straight through to the actual wedding day was really fun, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with.
One of my favorite things about every wedding day is the details. I love seeing the dress for the first time, and finding the perfect spot to hang it. The perfect shoes to go with that wedding dress, and the jewelry, the flowers, all the things that make each bride unique. Rings! Oh rings! how much do I love the rings. They may be my most favorite thing to photograph on a wedding day. Kelley had some of the most gorgeous details. The wedding dress was stunning. The gold shoes were to die for. The beaded clutch personalized with her new married name, was just the most special and unique detail in my opinion.
When it comes to “getting ready” photos on your wedding day, it is so fun to capture all of the hustle bustle going on. The best part, to me, are the small, stolen moments of quiet for the bride and groom, and I always try and grab them. Those times when a bride is writing her vows in the makeup chair, or doing that final look in the mirror while putting in her earrings. That’s when the excitement for the rest if the day feels the most palpable. Where you see the deep breaths happen before jumping into the rest of the wedding day timeline.
Kelton and Kelley made lots of time for their first look and couples portraits, nothing makes this wedding photographer happier. We had family and the great team at Evermore Wedding and Events help us get around Foxhall Resort, which provided the most beautiful backdrop to work with on this wedding day!
No wedding day is complete without a great wedding party, and Kelley and Kelton had a great group of friends that made up theirs. Every bride and groom needs a fun squad to keep them calm and collected through the wedding day jitters, and help make the entire day fun! Kelton and Kelley’s wedding party was definitely squad goals!
Early spring is such a beautiful time of year, and Foxhall definitely shows off spring at it’s finest. This draped arbor with beautiful florals by Bloomin’ Bouquets was such a perfect setting for a lovely and heartfelt ceremony. The love surrounding and between Kelton and Kelley, while the exchanged their vows was palpable, and I won’t lie, even I may have shed a tear or two. Don’t you just love weddings? Oh I do!
I love this capture of Kelley and Kelton walking out of their wedding ceremony as man and wife. This is what joy looks like, and it was felt by all!
Foxhall has several spaces on the property where weddings can be thrown. Kelley and Kelton chose the stables for their wedding reception and it was stunning! The high ceilings and the walls of french doors letting in all the natural light, combined with more beautiful florals by Bloomin’ Bouquets, made the most amazing reception setting. And the best thing about the stables, is right across the hall is where the party really gets going with a dance floor and bar area. Nice Entertainment provided the tunes and this crew really knew how to let loose! I love nothing more than when wedding guests have a blast on the dance floor.
Being a part of Kelton and Kelley’s entire wedding process was such a treat! How exciting to be there to capture Kelton’s proposal to Kelley, and then see them married and walking into life together. This wedding will always be extra special to me!
